Hans Peter & Hannelore Royer (Director)

"What would life be without the Lord Jesus?"
Before coming to Tauernhof in 1990, I worked as a car-mechanic, later as a Professional Skiinstructor and Mountainguide.
My wife Hannelore keeps busy with our three children (Lucas, Lisa, Eva-Maria) and runs our Bed&Breakfast "Waldschlössl", the house in which I grew up.
Besides preaching- and teaching at our center Tauernhof, taking care of staff as well as many administrative tasks, I do travel extensively in Europe and overseas to speak at conferences and churches. I have also been elected as the assistant director of "Torchbearer International" which also adds a few responsibilities.
Looking back on our lives I can only say that God's grace is real and active. I am neither able to be where I am, nor have I desired nor deserved it. I can only say "thank you" to our precious Lord, make myself totally available and in doing so keep in step with the Spirit.

Martin & Marion Buchsteiner (Principal)

I am married since September 1996 to Marion and work since 1998 at Tauernhof. Together with our two daughters Emily and Ronja we live in "Haus", a small village close to Schladming. Since September 2003 I am the Bibleschool-prinicpal.
Preaching, Teaching, leading Groups and instructing skiing during our winter camps are part of my work.

God has been guiding us in wonderful ways and looking back I can only affirm what God has promised in Isaiah 41:10;
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Eis & Maja van Dijk (Bible Teacher)

It was our Heavenly Father who brought us back to Tauernhof in the summer of 2000. Tauernhof is the place where we met and fell in love with each other, and Tauernhof is the place where God allows us to serve Him together. It is a privilege to live and serve Him here, to serve our guests and students in various ways: Maja (Swiss) is the Bible school secretary and Eis (Dutch) is a Bible teacher, guest- and student counsellor and ski instructor. Eis is also travelling to various other Bible schools and to some churches where he teaches the Word of God and he loves it.
It is our desire to be faithful servants and to make you feel welcome at Tauernhof!

'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!' (2 Cor. 5:17)

Heli & Martina Rettensteiner (Sports)

Hi, we are the Rettensteiner family, my wife Martina with our children Sami, Lisa and Kilian. Tauernhof became an important issue of my life, because it was the first time in my life that I got in touch with believers, who have a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
After I have become a christian in 1996, I felt more and more the desire to be involved in the Tauernhof ministry. So I work here now since 7 years as a ski- and mountainguide. I am also in charge of planing different outreaches for churches, schools, hospital,...
during our Bible schools in Spring and Fall.

"I look up to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth."
Psalm 121

Tobias & Beth Kley (Dean of students)

„And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching JESUS as the CHRIST.“ Acts 5.42
When I came to Tauernhof for the first time in May 1999, I got to know JESUS personally. This relationship with HIM changed my life and future plans completly. GOD placed the burden on my heart to share JESUS with as many people as possible.
Beth (America, TN) and I got married in 2004 and in the meantime GOD gave us a little son named Henning. Officially we are missionaries with the "Kontaktmission" and they loaned us out for full time ministry at Tauernhof.
While Beth tries to establish relationships with the local mothers, I am busy with evangelistic outreaches, travel ministries, sports and activities and the discipling of our bible school students.

Andy & Uli Reiter (Maintainance)

Griaßenk, my name is Andreas Reiter. I come from Ramsau and I'm 26 years old. I learned to be a plumber and ski-instructor. Since April 24th 2006 I've been employed full-time at Tauernhof as the maintenance-guy. My work is mainly to repair and keep things running.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15,5

Monika Kähm (Secretary)

Since July 2007, I work in the reception where I face all kinds of different challenges do to the seasonally changing programs and the many people who come to Tauernhof.
My main responsibility is the organization and registration of our summer and winter camps.
I grew up in Usbekistan and later moved to Germany. Now, however, I am at home at Tauernhof in Austria.

Liselotte Wagner (Bookshop)

I come from Upper Austria, but have already been at Tauernhof for several years now.
Since 2005 I am responsible for the new bookshop, before that I was working as the secretary and receptionist, where I am still helping out.

Julia Kley (Housemanager)

O my son, give me your heart.
May your eyes delight in my ways of wisdom.
Proverbs 23:26

Through HIS wonderful guidance my way has not gone as planned to Australia but to Austria to work at Tauernhof instead.
It is more and more inconceivable and overwhelming to me how GOD knows our secret desires and wishes and in HIS own time weaves them into HIS ways.
Since the beginning of September it is my task to keep the property in order and the houses clean at Tauernhof. Next to the housekeeping, I am also the house "mama" for the volunteer staff girls that live in the white house with me. I also enjoy to work in the musical ministries here when time allows. In many new and challenging situations I am thankful to GOD for HIS help and encouragement (many times in small things!) and it is good to know that I am in the right place.

Julie Johnson (Resident Assistant)

Through the Upward Bound course in the summer of 2004 I came to know and love Tauernhof. Since then, it was my prayer to serve on staff. After graduating I worked as a personal trainer and then came to Tauernhof in the spring of 2008.

During the summer and winter months I enjoy sharing Christ’s life in the mountains and helping out with the weekly camps. During the bible school months, I am the Resident Assistant, forming relationships with the students. ☺ I also run our coffee shop.
